Week of 1/28 - 2/1/19

Hello Panthers!
Sunday was perfect weather to be outside! I hope you took advantage of the rare summer weather in January, especially since it was almost freezing a couple of days earlier. I know that everyone is thinking about their favorite appetizer for the upcoming weekend, but before we get there I just want to thank everyone for sending me their students each day! I know it gets tiring and I think we could all use mental wellness days now and then without penalty. Unfortunately we are not there yet, so I appreciate you sending them each day! Make sure you click on the “Upcoming Events” tab to stay on top of all the events that are happening over the next month.

Family Survey
Thank you to those of you that have filled out the latest climate survey from the district. We are only about 200 behind the school in front of us for parent responses. We would love to have your input to help us improve! Our Ridgeview Annual Family Survey is mobile-friendly and short, it should take about 5 mi…

Week of 1/21 - 1/25/19

Hello Panthers!
I hope you had a fascinating weekend. For those of you that were able to have Monday off, I hope you were able to spend some time in thought, service, or just able to relax and catch up. Did anybody check out that moon over the weekend? I probably could have guessed there was a supermoon by the end of the week. There is always a little extra energy from students! Thursday morning looks to be super cold, so make sure they come with a jacket and leave with a jacket.

Family Survey
Thank you to those of you that have filled out the latest climate survey from the district. We get a report each week to show how many responses we received. We are ahead of last year’s pace, but still below the average voter turnout. Here is the information again. We would love to have your input to help us improve! Our Ridgeview Annual Family Survey is mobile-friendly and short, it should take about 5 minutes to complete. Your input is valuable and used to plan for improvement and implement new o…

Week of 1/15 - 1/19/19

Hello Panthers!
I hope you had a great weekend and were more productive than I was. I guess I did get a few things done outside on Saturday when I was in shorts, only to bundle up the next day. Craziest weather ever! The side effects are being felt as we have had many students and staff out with allergy related illnesses, colds and a few with the flu. This is your reminder to consider a flu shot, wash your hands often, get plenty of fluids, get enough sleep, and get enough Vitamin C every day. It still might not keep you from getting sick, but it might lessen the duration.

It is about to get busy, busy the next few weeks. I went ahead and updated the “Upcoming Events” tab in Blogger to show the next seven weeks. I had to see a little end in sight. This gets us through the end of the 4th Six Weeks and into March - Eeeek! There are many announcements this week of upcoming events. Take your time to read through them.

Week of 1/8 - 1/11/19

Welcome back Panthers!
I can’t believe we are already at the halfway point of the school year. I hope you were able to enjoy the break, spend time with family in a positive way, and get a little rest to recharge for the new year.

We will somewhat ease back into the routine this week and will be going over student expectations for those that are new and those that might have “forgotten” over the break. Tomorrow I will send out the newest list of activities for parents that might have students in transition whether from 5th to 6th grade or 8th to 9th grade. This will be a separate tab in the blog. We will also have the dates posted on the “Upcoming Events” tab as they are approaching. We will be offering a few opportunities for 6th and 7th grade parents to join as well if they want to get a head start on what will be needed for high school.
