Hello Panthers! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! For not having much to do, my weekend sure did seem to progress quickly. We had an amazing College Day on Friday! Students were able to learn expand their knowledge through four informative college sessions. I tried to visit almost all of the sessions and learned many new things myself! It almost has me wanting to go back to college. Wait, I guess I have to get out of college before I can go back :) This week has more activities going on, so please make sure and click on the event tabs for more information.

Week of 9/18 - 9/22/17

Hello Panthers! What great weather we had this weekend! I hope you were able to spend time with the family in some form or fashion. This is actually a slow week for us! Rest up, make sure students get caught up on grades and get ready for next week!
College Day This Friday, Sept 22., we will have a modified schedule. Students will spend two hours in the morning going to college enrichment sessions of their choice and will then have shortened periods 1-8. Students have had the opportunity to sign-up for their four college sessions through Sched since Thursday. I think we have the password issues fixed. Students should look at their school email for more directions. When helping students on Friday at lunch, I found out that many students are not checking their email at all. I saw tons of messages from teachers with reminders and notices of upcoming events in class. Please encourage your student to check their email on a regular basis!
Beautification Day Thank you to all the amazing volunte…

Week of 9/11 - 9/15/17

Hello Panthers! I hope you were able to enjoy the weekend! With the recent events of hurricanes and flooding, I have found it difficult to get as motivated as I usually am for the start of college and pro football. I would like to be enthusiastic, but in reality, there are just things that are much more important.
Progress Reports Friday marked the end of the first marking period. Progress reports will be coming home either Wednesday or Thursday. We will also be sending home your student’s STAAR report from last year. I have attached a link to TEA if you want more information about the report card:

Week of 09/04-09/08/17

Hello Panthers! It doesn’t seem like another week has already passed. The school year is off to a wonderful start. I am so pleased with the way that students have been responding in the classroom thus far. We were able to take a ton of items to the drop-off center in Austin for the Hurricane Harvey Relief efforts on Friday. Thank you so much for your donations. There are a bunch of announcements this week. I tried my best to itemize for quick perusal.
Back to School Nights This week will be short, but busy. On Tuesday, 9/5 we will have 6th grade Back to School Night. The school will open at 5:00 and we will have Club boards available in the upper commons for students and parents to browse. We hope to begin our presentation at 5:30 in the main gym. On Wednesday, 9/6, we will have 7th and 8th grade Back to School Night. We wil…
