Week of 3/27 - 3/31/17

Hello Panthers! I hope you were able to enjoy the beautiful weather outside this weekend (even if you suffer from allergies). Except for the yellow blanket that we know as oak pollen, this weekend was great for being outdoors. This would also be a good time to put in a plug for sunscreen. It is helpful to use it before you sit in the sun for an extended period of time. I was much better on Sunday than Saturday!

Welcome back Panthers! I hope you had a great break! Hopefully you were able to get some time with the kids to get away from the hustle and bustle. This transition week back from the break is often hard to get back in the swing, but so important for the students to keep positive momentum going.

Counseling Support The second reminder was about stress and anxiety classes. I had a few people tell me they were having trouble with the link. If it is not working, feel free to email your student’s counselor or AP or Here is the information again and the link:
Stress and Anxiety Sign Up Counselors will be conducting sessions on Stress and Anxiety. Stress can be debilitating, espec…

It also allowed me to be productive in a few areas that needed attention and allowed for some much needed time to be with my kids. In fact, I was able to read to them last night (for the first time in a few months) for about 45 minutes. It might sound silly, especially considering that I have one in middle school and another on the way, but they really enjoy the time that we spend reading together. We try to pick out a series of a particular book we enjoy that we can all relate to. Our last series was by Gordon Korman, the Swindle series. Ironically, we decided on another set of books by Gordon Korman for this one as well, Bruno and Boots. If you are looking for a way to spend some time together with your teen, give it a try. They might be resistant at first (aren’t …
